The Reverend Dr. BEN GROTH

Dr. Ben Groth's doctoral thesis is on the relationship between white supremacy and Christianity in the US in the Tulane University History Department. Previously, Ben served as a College Chaplain at Berea College in Berea, KY, the Associate Pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls, WI, and has worked as a Director of Music in Lutheran and Episcopal congregations in Wisconsin and Connecticut

MUSIC DIRECTOR

Dr. Matthew Harrison serves as Organist and Choir Director at First Lutheran Church of the Reformation. A passionate educator, conductor, performer, and scholar, he brings more than two decades of ecumenical experience in music ministry, choral education, and community engagement.

Matthew holds degrees from James Madison University, the New England Conservatory, and the University of Connecticut, where he completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting. In addition to his work in church music, he serves as Director of Upper School Choral Activities at Hamden Hall Country Day School and is a past president of the Connecticut chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.

Johanna S Furgalack CPA

Johanna Furgalack serves FLCR by providing appropriate and accurate accounting records and financial statements for the church. Johanna also oversees compliance of filing of tax required reporting forms.

Office Manager

Nancy Peterson , coordinates the volunteers for weekly worship services (People Power), Publishes the weekly Bulletins and Calendars with the most recent information, answers calls, administers the church office and congregation, coordinates with the music director and parish pastor to produce worship related materials and liaisons with FLCR volunteers.
